Hometown Market

Hometown Market is owned and operated by McAneny Brothers, Inc., a family-owned business founded in 1979 by brothers Steve, Joe, and Tom McAneny. Originally a food service wholesale distributor serving independent grocers across central Pennsylvania, the McAneny Brothers expanded into retail by opening their own Hometown Market stores — giving them direct control over the shopping experience alongside their wholesale operations. The chain operates five neighborhood grocery stores across central and western Pennsylvania, in Bellwood, Brookville, Hollidaysburg, Philipsburg, and Punxsutawney, with a focus on fresh-cut meats, local produce, and in-store bakeries. The Hollidaysburg location was voted the 2023 Hometown Favorite best grocery store by readers of the Altoona Mirror.
