Brooklyn Fare
About Brooklyn Fare
Brooklyn Fare was founded in 2009 by Moe Issa, who was raised in the Park Slope neighborhood of Brooklyn. Issa first recognized the borough's need for a quality grocer while driving a Pepsi delivery truck route through the area in the 1980s and 90s, calling on everything from large chain supermarkets to bodegas. He opened his first store at the corner of Schermerhorn and Hoyt Streets in downtown Brooklyn with a commitment to bringing an outstanding selection at affordable prices to the community. The original Brooklyn location also housed Chef's Table at Brooklyn Fare, which became the borough's only Michelin three-star restaurant before relocating to Manhattan in 2016. Family-owned and operated, Brooklyn Fare merges Issa's vision of high-quality foods with familiar products in a convenient and approachable shopping experience, with Issa's son Brandon serving as Regional Manager. Today the chain operates five locations across Brooklyn and Manhattan.
