Associated Supermarket

Associated Supermarket is one of several banners operated by Associated Supermarket Group (ASG), formerly known as Associated Food Stores. ASG is the largest group of independently operated supermarkets in the New York metro area, servicing roughly 250 independent grocery stores across NYC, Long Island, Upstate NY, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, North Carolina, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. The Associated banner itself has served local neighborhoods for 70 years. Sister banners under the same group include Associated Fresh, Compare, Compare Fresh, Met Foods, Met Fresh, Metropolitan City Market, and Pioneer — all sharing the same supply network and ownership despite different storefront names.
